Adult Ed: Enneagram 101: Starting: Dec. 2nd Classroom: #5 Teachers: Kirsten & Brad Eason Learning our Enneagram type to grow in compassion for ourselves and for others... The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing tool that closely aligns with the Christian faith. While not in scripture, it’s an incredibly helpful tool that is backed up by Biblical truths. We’ll be using it to learn more of the nine different lenses people view the world around them, how this affects our own spiritual growth, and the way we live in community. Click HERE to watch a short Enneagram Insight Trailer
Job: Starting: Dec. 2nd Classroom: #7 Taught by various teachers The book of Job deals with the sovereignty of God and the problem of suffering. We, like Job, don’t always understand the reasons behind our pain. In this 12-week study, Eric Ortlund helps us see the trustworthiness of God in the midst of our trials. Through the agony and pain experienced by Job, we catch a glimpse of God’s purposes for our suffering as we look ahead to the restoration of all things in the new creation. Pray for the family of Amy Blechinger’s father, Duane van Skiver, who passed away on Friday. Ask God for strength and comfort for Amy and her husband Peter, who were Duane’s caregivers during his last days. Amy and Pete are former members of BVCC who live in Maryland now.
Please continue to pray for our former minister Mark Henderson as he undergoes treatment for cancer at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He has debilitating fatigue from the cancer and the chemo and digestive problems that make eating and drinking difficult. Pray that these problems will end and that the chemo will kill the bad cells, leave the good cells alone, and bring no more bad side effects.
Please continue to pray for Ruthe Raley, who is recovering at home from kidney surgery.
Please continue to pray for Alison Suppes, who is undergoing radiation treatment following surgery for breast cancer.
Pray for Tamara Elzey’s sister, Tara, who is recovering from injuries inflicted by a dog that attacked her. Her wounds are healing well with no infection so far!
