If you’ve ever been approached by homeless man or woman, you may have felt uncomfortable about how to respond when asked for money. We are working together to make Care Kits (or homeless care packages) an alternative, since giving money isn’t the best option.
The following items below should be small enough to be placed in a gallon-size Zip-Lock bag.

We would like to partner with our commUNITY in putting together Homeless Care Packages.
Please consider picking up some (or all) of these items listed at the bottom  of  this page  and bringing them to the Boulder Valley church of Christ by the end of Aug. and placing them in the   marked tube in our foyer. We plan on working with each other to put these packages together and then redistribute them back to our volunteers so that they can us them to bless those they see in need.
1. Socks   Homeless men and women spend a lot of time on their feet trying to get resources and appointments. A fresh pair of clean, dry socks can feel like heaven on tired, soggy feet.
2. Snacks & Water   Throw in some Tuna and Crackers, Soft Granola Bars, Bag of Chips, Juice Box, or a protein bar. Water bring relief, especially in hot weather.
3. Hygiene Items Toothbrush and toothpaste, travel size wipes, mints or gum,  and Maybe Throw in some band-aids to help ease the pain of blisters.
4. Resource Guide   Boulder Shelter for the Homeless  has a wide variety of services available to homeless men and women that they may not know about. Be sure to add their community Resource info. page (Click HERE )
5. Encouragement All the items listed are helpful, but the most meaningful part of a Car Kit is the opportunity for a conversation and friendship. Your smile and offer of help could be the encouragement a homeless man and women needs to make it through another day. Take time to learn their name, listen to their story, and offer to pray with them.
